Become an IPS Organizational Facilitator

Preparing IPS Organizational Facilitators

(5 days in-person / 11 days virtual)

Our Facilitator Course is a hands-on seminar designed to prepare and designate IPS Organizational Facilitators. Facilitators can then teach the Core Content within their own organizations, helping to ensure the fidelity and sustainability of IPS.

Spread IPS Knowledge and Practices

Many people complete an IPS Core Training feeling inspired to share what they've learned with others. We welcome this enthusiasm and have developed a system to help spread the content of our Core Training.

As peer support in mental health proliferates, we must be mindful of our intention: social change. It is not about developing more effective services but rather about creating dialogues that have influence on all of our understandings, conversations and relationships.

Choosing the Right Pathway for Your Organization

The IPS Organizational Facilitator pathway is best suited for organizations with 25 or fewer employees. For larger organizations, the scope of an IPS Organizational Facilitator may be limited to specific programs or regions. If you work for a larger organization and are interested in becoming an IPS Organizational Facilitator, please contact us for more information.

Steps to Become an IPS Organizational Facilitator

  1. Complete an IPS Core Training.
  2. Practice IPS for at least a year.
  3. Regularly engage in Co-Reflection.
  4. Review the IPS Organisational Facilitator Pathway and Facilitator Agreement
  5. Register your interest in the Facilitator Course.
  6. Complete an IPS Facilitator Course.
  7. Become designated as an IPS Organizational Facilitator upon demonstrating the IPS tasks and principles, strong communication skills, and a willingness to self-reflect.
  8. Continue to engage in Co-Reflection.
  9. Complete an IPS Refresher Course to re-designate as an IPS Organizational Facilitator.
